QuarryLog - Quarry specific geological and geotechnical logging software

 

QuarryDesign have produced a series of user friendly data collection programs designed to run on a weatherproof PDA running Windows Mobile under the title of QuarryLog.

 

These programs use drop down menus to standardise (where possible) descriptions.  Free type is still available if the standard descriptions are found wanting.

At present the following titles have been developed

 

  • QuarryLog - Sand and Gravel
  • QuarryLog - Rock Face (for recording geotechnical data of rock quarry faces)
  • QuarryLog - Soil Slopes (for recording geotechnical data of 'engineering soils' e.g. Sand, Gravel, Clay)
  • QuarryLog - Solid Tips (for recording geotechnical data of solid tips including screen banks and stockpiles)
  • QuarryLog - Lagoons (for recording geotechnical data of liquid tips including fresh water ponds and silt lagoons)

 

 

The following titles are currently being developed

 

  • QuarryLog - Openhole (for field logging of chippings from the cyclone of a quarry shot rig)
  • QuarryLog - Core Log (for recording geological descriptions from cores including TCR, SCR, RQD, Fracture Index)
