Knowing what site investigation technique to use depends on the nature of the deposit being investigated, the limitations of that particular technique and of course the budget!. QuarryDesign have supervised exploration drilling using a wide variety of drilling techniques to investigate potential aggregate deposits.

 | These include rotary coring, rotary percussive (quarry shot rigs), shell and auger, flight auger, odex and simitrix (overburden drilling systems), reverse circulation, and the most recent 'sonic' system.
In addition to supervising exploration drilling, QuarryDesign have also supervised the excavation of Test Pits using excavators. Where appropriate, we have also either undertaken our own geophysical surveys or supervised 3rd party specialist geophysical consultants.
